CROSSOVER DRILL
The Crossover Drill is a great drill for hitters to work on maintaining posture and getting to a good launch position. These drills can be great for players that tend to collapse their back side during the swing.

In the Crossover Drill, we're going to have our hitters set up with their front foot crossed over their back foot and getting into that good "K" posture.

With a good "K" Posture you'll notice the hitter leans forward so the front shoulder is a little below the back shoulder. If you have hitters that struggle with maintaining good posture and collapsing their backside this is a great drill for them. You'll notice that when doing this drill it is very difficult for them to collapse that back side.

When this drill is done correctly, you're going to see a little bit of tilt in their shoulders and their body maintain a good posture. When the hitter moves toward the ball they should feel like they're about to fall forward. At The Vault we call this a controlled fall in your stride and swing which sets the hitter up in a perfect launch position.
If you found this drill helpful, our online hitting membership contains over 200+ hitting drills and lessons perfectly designed for Baseball & Softball athletes and coaches. Try a 7-day membership for only $1.
